Who does what?
This page lists those who are taking part in the ACRID project
ACRID is a joint project between the Climatic Research Unit (CRU) at UEA and the Science and Technology Faciities Council. The Met Office are collaborating with us on this project.

Lead Investigator
- Dr Tim Osborn
Tim is the lead investigator for the overall project as well as for the UEA component. He is a Reader in the School of Environmental Sciences, and is in the Climatic Research Unit.
Project Manager
- Dr Sarah Callaghan
Sarah is the project manager as well as being the lead investigator for the STFC part of the ACRID project. She works in the British Atmospheric Data Centre (BADC).
Other Participants
- Dr Arif Shaon
Arif is the developer at STFC who will undertake many components of the STFC part of the ACRID project. - Dr Colin Harpham
Colin will be undertaking the main part of the UEA work, implementing the technologies to provide better version control and more transparent publication of climate datasets. - Dr Bryan Lawrence
Bryan is the director of the British Atmospheric Data Centre (BADC), and provides guidance in relation to the publication and archiving of ACRID climate datasets. - Professor Phil Jones
Phil is a co-investigator and will provide guidance with the CRUTEM station temperature database and the construction of the CRU TS high-resolution climatological datasets. - Professor Keith Briffa
Keith is a co-investigator and will provide guidance with the processing of tree-ring measurements to produce tree-ring chronologies. - Jeremy Tandy
Jeremy is at the Met Office and is representing Met Office interests in the project. - Dr Andrew Woolf
Andrew was the project manager during the inception and initial phase of ACRID, and retains an interest in the project's outcomes.
