RELEASE NOTES FOR CRU CY v3.26: 20 November 2018

NOTE: Please read the main document, 'Read_Me_CRU_CY.txt', as well.

The 3.26 release of the CRU CY dataset covers the period 1901-2017.
It uses the same observation dataset that was used by v4.02, to allow
comparisons to be made. The best published reference to use is that of
the underlying dataset, CRU TS:

This release uses the updated country definitions introduced last year
in v4.01 (and v3.25); that parallel release using old definitions is
still available to allow checking. Please see the separate file,
'Read_Me_CRU_CY_3.26_Updated_Country_Definitions.txt', for details.
