The data are provided in two alternative sets of files:
1. 102-year files (*1901-2002*), one per variable: see data_all directory.
2.  10-year files, ten per variable: see data_dec directory.

The station counts are also provided in two alternative sets of files:
1. 100-year files (*1901-2000*), one per variable: see stn_all directory.
2.  10-year files, ten per variable: see stn_dec directory.

The variables included are only those for which station data was directly
used in the calculation of month-by-month anomalies. Therefore frost-day
frequency (based entirely on synthetic data) and temperature min/max 
(deduced entirely from the completed dtr and tmp grids) are not presented.

The underlying climatology (1961-90 mean) is provided in the same format
in the 'normal' directory. Areas without genuine estimates take values 
that are 'relaxed' towards this climatology.
